- Global and Community Cohesion co-ordinator
I have been a teacher since 1991 and have worked in a wide range of schools in Suffolk and Herefordshire. I have worked at Mordiford since 2001 and I love it here – it's a fantastic place to work.
My favourite subject is Literacy, especially drama, which I include in lessons as much as possible. I also direct the whole school play in the summer term. History and PE are other subjects I enjoy teaching. Cricket is my favourite sport and I coach the school cricket team.
My other passion is the Global and Community Cohesion work I lead at school. I have been very privileged to visit and work with lots of teachers from around the world. I love travelling.
Out of school I watch lots of cricket (as both my sons & husband play), act as a taxi service for my twins who are at secondary school and enjoy listening to my their band 'The Affence'. I also enjoy spending time in my large garden, listening to lots of music (from rock to opera), swimming, reading a great book and researching my family tree.
Since completing my 'Postgraduate Certificate in the Teaching of Shakespeare' going to Stratford upon Avon with my son, Eliot, as much as possible to see performances by the RSC is another thrill
Mrs Cooper

Her favourite music is rock and she relaxes when possible by going to see live music.
She loves animals and is a vegetarian. Her favourite subject is literacy and she’s always got a great book on the go.
She is a qualified football coach and has completed her level one forest school training.

I have been Headteacher at Mordiford CE Primary School since September 2004. As well as looking after the general day to day running of the school I also teach Monday and Tuesday in all of our five classes whilst the class teachers do their planning, preparation and assessment.
I am coordinator for History and have responsibility for the Continuing professional development of all staff, Health and Safety, Child Protection, school uniform and I am a school governor
Mrs Oakley

She has two children William and Charlotte. William is quite well known at school and makes himself at home.
Her passion is music and teaching. She has recently had the privilege of taking our school choir on many exciting adventures , the NIA Young Voices concert that you can read about on our website, singing at our Local Nursing home, and of course taking part in the various school productions.
Mrs Oakley is our ICT co-ordinator which has given her the opportunity to extend her knowledge of the subject whilst being able to give colleagues a bit of time to help sort out the niggles with computers.
This year she has also become our Art Co-ordinator and hopes to lead the school in gaining the ArtsMark Gold Award.
Her hobbies are listening to music, the odd bit of DIY and enjoying classic car outing with her husband and children. They enjoy going to various shows and spend quite a lot of time looking under bonnets of cars – Mr Oakley gets very excited, Mrs Oakley and children do a lot of wandering around!
The car has been featured in Practical Classics magazine

I have recently joined Mordiford and am delighted to be here. I have taught in a number of schools in Bristol and Leeds before returning back to my roots a couple of years ago and teaching in Herefordshire.
In my free time I enjoy running, swimming and the gym. I also like cooking and reading a really good book – the sort of one you just don’t want to put down!
I went to school in Grosmont, and I was the only one in my year group until I was 6 years old! It was a very small school. My favourite subjects were art, history, PE, and Literacy. I always wanted to be a teacher as it is such a creative and exciting job.

Numeracy Co-ordinator
Early Years Co-ordinator
Previously I have taught in a number of different Primary schools and have been a youth worker with socially excluded young people amongst other things, but it is teaching children who are just starting out on their school careers that I really enjoy. Not least because of their excitement to learn and the funny things they come out with! At the start of this year I also became a staff governor.
I live a stones throw from school with my son, Otis, and two cats, Louis and Batfink. Outside school I love walking and making the most of the beautiful countryside around us.
