Our school environment

Mordiford CE Primary School was built in 1817 and is a combination of the original building and more modern accommodation. It is set in large grounds with ample hard and grassed play areas, including an enviable sports field.

In addition there is a beautiful garden area with seating and a pond for environmental activities. The PTFA have funded a superb adventure play area.

We are also fortunate to have a Forest School site a short walk away at the base of Westwood.

The school has a multi- purpose hall which is used daily for collective worship, PE, cooked lunches, celebrations and performances throughout the year. The hall is also used to develop links with the wider community.
The children are grouped as follows:

Lugg – Reception Monnow – Year 1 children
Arrow – Year 2 children Wye – Year 3/Year 4 children
